Dubai Desert Classic won by Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods shot a seven under par 65 to take a two shot leading the first round of the Dubai Desert Classic, there were 11 players two strokes back of the lead.
Tiger Woods shot a one under par to maintain his lead with the wind blowing and the sand swirling for a one stroke lead on Friday. Damien McGrane shot a 69 and is one shot back. He is ranked at 319 on the tour.
Ernie Els took over the lead on Saturday, he shot a seven under par for a 65. Els is seeking his fourth title at Dubai. Woods shot a 73 and was tied with five other players at 209. Woods score ended a five month run of 21 straight sub par rounds. Sweden Henrik Stenson was one shot back.
Tiger came from four strokes back by shooting a seven under 65 on Sunday. He had to birdie the last two holes, at the 18th he sank a 25 foot put and punched the air in delight. for the victory.It left him one shot ahead of Martin Kaymer of Germany. Tiger now has won his last four officul tournaments and six of his last seven dating back to August.
Els tried to catch Tiger on the last hole but the wind knocked his second shot down into the water. Els finished 3rd after shooting a 71 for 276.
