Golf balls nowadays have become more advanced then when they were first made from feathers and skins. One of the advances that have been made is the dimples that cover the gold balls. The average golf ball has anywhere from 300 dimples to 500 dimples in it. The dimples are the little holes on the outside of the golf ball. These holes help the ball fly further and help golfers put what they call a back spin on it.
