Golf is a game that consists of players competing against each other for the least amount of strokes or swings to reach the goal. The individual with the highest points is declared as the winner or champion. Each game is set at a particular golf course with designated holes in which the player has to go through in a certain pattern or order. There are obstacles that are placed in the golf course to make the game challenging. Some of the obstacles include bunkers, watery areas, and muddy areas. Penalty points are also into play. They are given when the golf ball is out of bounds or placed in different positions than where it was before. Points are calculated using the amount of swings it takes to make the golf ball reach inside the par or hole based on how many holes there are in the course.
For a person to warm-up before a golf tournament, there are exercises that you can do to help you play the game without harming yourself. The goal of exercising and stretching your body is to help you improve and mimic your body movements when you swing and move your body during golfing. For instance, you can pick up a dumbbell in one hand conducting your arm and body like you are playing golf, and glide it across gently without swinging the weight of the dumbbell. Then repeat these steps for your other hand.
Upcoming tournament include the AT & T National taken place from July 3 to 6 in Maryland. From August 21 to 24, the Barclays are playing their games in New Jersey and more are set to play this summer.
