Tiger Woods - Down But Not Out

The upcoming golf tournaments will surely put new names on the leader board for the rest of the 2008 tour, with more than $100 million up for grabs and Tiger recovering from knee surgery.  All but four of this year's top ten money leaders are from the USA, but don't count anyone out.  The galleries may be smaller, but the excitement will still be high for the players.  Maybe even higher, since each man's chance of winning may have improved.

The world watched Tiger battle through excruciating pain to win the US open in June.  We weren't surprised to learn that another surgery was required on his left knee.  To learn that he had suffered stress fractures in his left tibia while rehabbing after the April surgery proves how hard he works to perfect his game.

Tiger has had four surgeries on his left knee, his first in 1994. He seems to always come back better through endless hours of work and strength training.  Tiger Woods has only failed to make the cut in tournament play one time since turning pro.  He has had to fight at times, but always seems to make the right shot at the right time.  This last surgery is a new procedure designed to give Tiger's knee better pivot action, to accommodate his powerful swing.

Tiger's battle cry is, "I'll be back."  He will not only be back, he'll be better than ever.  Life is a challenge, and Tiger always meets it.
