Tiger Woods Decides to Have Knee Surgery After the Masters

Tiger Woods decided that he will have his knee surgery in April of 2008. Tiger Woods left knee has been bothering him since the middle of last year. As a result of this problem, arthroscopic surgery was recommended to him. Tiger Woods wanted to make the best choice for his health, so he decided to have the surgery after the Masters. This operation will be Tiger Woods third operation on his left knee. His first operation on his left knee was done in 1994. His passed surgery, in April of 2008, was performed in Utah by a doctor who had performed surgery on his left knee in 2002.

Tiger Woods had a torn ligament in his left knee, and Woods had played on this knee for at least ten months. Two weeks before the U.S. open, Tiger Woods suffered a doubled stress fracture in his left leg. Months before the 2008 U.S. open, Woods appeared to be optimistic about his operation. Although he was informed that recovery could take four to six weeks, Woods made it very clear that he wanted to participate in the upcoming 2008 U.S. open.

Tiger Woods won the 2008 U.S. Open for the third time. He is not certain where he will be playing next, but he did say that he had risked further damage by playing in the 2008 U.S. Open. Even after a torn ligament on his left knee, Tiger Woods proved that he could win a tough test in golf!
