Tiger Woods had surgery to repair a torn ligament and two stress fractures in his left leg this past July. Known as the best golfer to ever put a golf club in his hands, Woods recently won the United States Open at Torey Pines on one healthy leg. Tiger Woods defeated Rocco Mediate in a playoff match that is considered as a match for the story books. Just recently, Tiger has come out to make an announcement on his recent surgery, as well as some welcoming news.
Tiger Woods had surgery on his left knee in April 15th of this year to have a cleaning out of cartilage, so he could compete for the Master's and the U.S. Open. After the second surgery in July to fix an ACL tear and two stress fractures in his leg, Tiger admits he tore his ACL last July while jogging at his home in Florida. Tiger has come out and said that he has not felt 100% since 2002. Woods had surgery in 2003 on the same left knee that he recently had in 2008. The only concern of fans is this was the third knee surgery in the last five years. Although the surgery this past July was considered a success, Tiger still has some concerns on how the knee is going to hold up over the long haul for the rest of his career.
Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren just announced that their baby girl Sam will be a big sister come late winter. This will be Tiger and Elin's second child.
