Liselotte Neumann

Liselotte Neumann was born May 20, 1966 in Finspong, Sweden. Neumann like most pro golfers started in the amateur tournaments. During her amateur career she won the 1982 and 1983 Swedish amateur championship. Also in 1983, Lotta won the Swedish match play championship. She played in several amateur games and won before going pro in 1985.

Even though she went pro in 1985 she was not a member of the L.P.G.A. until 1988. That very same year she won the first U.S. Women’s Open and also got rookie of the year. Even though she is an impressive golfer, she has only won 13 times in the L.P.G.A. tour and her other big win was the Women’s British open. Unfortunately, the Women’s British Open is no longer recognized by the ladies European tour.

Lotta has always been an international player, she played and won on the Asian and Japanese tours and she has also played in Australia. Not only is Lotta a great player she has a caddie that goes above and beyond as well. Her caddie climbed a coconut tree in Asia to quench the thirst of a group of people when they ran out of water. Lotta's over all best years in the L.P.G.A. were in the 1990’s, where she had three big wins. Her highest finish on the money list is third. Lotta is truly an excellent golfer; it is just unfortunate that her best years and biggest wins came so early in her career.
