Jerry Kelly Wins The Zurich Classic

At the Zurich Classic on Thursday Charlie Wi of South Korea shot a bogey-free round of 6 under for a 66 and a one stroke lead after the first round. Their were six players behind him with 67's. David Toms had a 68 and Kenny Perry had a 69.

Jerry Kelly shot a 6 under 66 on Friday to take a one stroke lead,he was 10 under for the two days. Troy Matterson had the low round of the day with an 8 under 64, which included an eagle on the 7th hole that matched the course record. That left him tied with Charley Hoffman for second one stroke back. David Toms shot another 68 and that tie him with first round leader Charlie Wi who had a 70 and three others 2 strokes back.

On Saturday Jerry Kelly had a bogey-free round shooting a 3 under 69 to increase his lead to three strokes over Steve Marino who used8 birdies to end up at 10 under and in second place. Their were 5 players tied for third at 9 under.

Jerry Kelly had a birdie on no 5 then he had boogies on the 8 and 10th hole that dropped him out of the lead on Sunday. Then he had birdies on 11 and 14 and ended up with one shot win. Charlies Howell had 6 birdies through 11 holes and took over the lead, but bogey's on the 15th and the 17th put him back a stroke to a 68. He ended up tied for second with Roy Sabbatini at 67 and Charlie Wi who shot a 68.

Steve Marnio stayed within one shot of Jerry, but on the 18th his drive went into a bunker and he ended up two putting that gave him a 70 and a tie for fifth.
