PGA Tour Today

The PGA Tour this week find itself in New Orleans for the "Zurich Classic of New Orleans." Andres Romero of Argentina, the winner of this tournament in 2008, is looking to defend his title. Another player that will be present this week is Kenny Perry, after his devastating loss at the Masters. He went to the 17th hole with a two shot advantage and ended up losing to Angel Cabrera in a playoff. However, this week it's back to work for Kenny Perry as he tries to put that all behind him.

Another player we need to watch for this week is Nick Watney. He was the winner of the Zurich Classic in 2007, and already a winner in 2009 as the champion of the Buick Invitational. With nine starts this season, he has eight top 25 finishes. He currently ranks fourth in the FedEx cup standings. Players say that a longer player off the tee has a better chance of winning at the TPC of New Orleans. With a field of 152 players this week, we have someone who is making his debut on the PGA Tour. It is 18 year old Danny Lee. He missed the cut at the Masters in Augusta, which was the first major that he ever played in. Many are waiting to see how he will do next.

The month of April is "PGA Free Fitting and trade up month." This is where professional golfers around the country offer 15 minutes to any golfer at any level. They try to fit you with the right equipment. You can also trade your old clubs for new ones at a much lower price.
