Tiger Woods' Recent Surgery

Tiger Woods recently had knee surgery because of an Acl tear which resulted in him having to undergo reconstructive surgery in 2003. But in some ways it was a good idea and in other ways it was a bad idea. Some doctors believe that since Tiger Woods decided to get the knee surgery he has developed his risk of knee osteoarthritis. By doing this some consider Tiger Woods is setting himself up for debilitating arthritis in the future. Any way people look at it, it was a must for Tiger Woods to get this surgery as with any profession because if you don't you wont be able to continue playing your sport at an elite level. For Tiger Woods it was probably his best decision because foregoing his surgery he will be teaching his muscles to perform at the level that he once performed at.

Luckily, Tiger Woods surgery didn't lead to something more serious because Acl ruptures can also be accompanied by meniscus tears. But during the surgery surgeons will be able to repair any upcoming meniscus tear or even clean out some of the pieces that occur before the surgery. But this is not Tiger Woods' first time undergoing surgery as he has had problems with his knee 5 years before his last initial surgery.

After all this, being one of the greatest golfers in PGA Tour history, Tiger Woods has put the surgery all behind him and he hopes to continue his dominance and unstoppable force to power his way through the Tour for years to come.
