On Thursday with no wind and soft greens from all the rain over 100 golfers shot under par.
Kenny Perry had the best round shoting a 9 under 61. he had a 29
on the front nine and was 7 under after 10 holes. He started thinking
he may be able to end up with a 59, somrthing only three golfers have
been able to do. But when he pared the last two holes his chances were
gone. CharlesWarren and Paul Goydos both shot 7 under 63 and were tied
for second place.
Greg Chalmers who had 6 birdies on his final eight holes finished
tied for 6 at 6 under 64 along with Spencer Levin, Tag Ridings and Boo
Weekley.Boo started his round with 6 streight birdies. Ridings had the
besr shot of the day getting a hole in one on the par 3, 11 using a 9
iron on the 154 yard hole.
US Open champion Lucas Glover shot 5 under and ended up tied with nine other golfers for eight place.
