Martin Laire Wins Justin Timberlake Shiriners Hospitals For Children Open

Spencer Levin, Troy Matteson and Tom Pernice Jr each shot a 9 under 62 to take the first round lead. Levin's 62 was his best round on the tour, he had a 63 earlier in the year. This is the first time he has held the first round lead. Pernice's 62 was his second time that he had that score. He had shot a 62 in 2005. Troy Matteson's 62 was his best on tour. He won the 2006 Justin Timberlake Shiners Open in 2006.
There were 2 players one shot back Bob Heintz and Martin Liard, and 2 more 2 shorts back Scott Picrcy and Jim Furyk.
On Friday Chad Campbell shot a 9 under 62 with an eagle on the par 5 ninth hole he was tied with first round leader Troy Matteson who had a 4 under 67, they were at 13 under
Matt Kucher shot a 7 under 64 to join Ryan Moore who had a 8 under 63, Bob Heintz and Martin Liard who had 4 under 67's to tie for second. Matt was 6 under on the back nine. Ryan eagle d the 16 hole and had 6 birdies in his round.
Scott Piercy and Chad Campbell moved to 17 under to take the third round lead by one shot over Martin Laird.
On the final round Martin Laird at 3 under 68, George McNiel at 4 under 67 and Chad Campbell at 2 under 69 all ended up in a tie for first place at 19 under. Chad boogied the second playoff hole and was eliminated. Laird birdied the next hole while McNail boogied it to win the championship. That was Laird's first tour win.
Jim Furyk finished with a -9 under 62 and. was at 18 under. That was the first time Jim shot a 62 in the final round, he had a 29 on the front side. J. J. Henry had the only 29 on the back side during his second round.
